Join NRA President Pete Brownell, Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre, NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris Cox, and your other NRA officers for the Annual Meeting of Members in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday, May 5th, 2018, as they provide a wrap up of the 2017 elections as well as a battle plan for going forward.
When NRA members gathered for the 2016 Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Louisville, Kentucky, we had just 170 days until Election Day 2016.This was not just an election to choose our next president. The stakes during the 2016 election were even higher. As Wayne LaPierre explained, that upcoming election was a chance to take our country back – back to its basic core principles:individual rights, personal responsibility; duty to country; keeping your word; doing what’s right; living within your means; obeying the law; telling the truth; being fair; providing justice; and practicing common decency.Every member in attendance was challenged to go out every day and fight for the principles, values and freedoms that make America unique.
And you did just that! Thanks to your efforts and your commitment, the Clintons are not in the White House again.Americans have a leader at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue who shares our belief in the principles this country was founded upon; who believes in the U.S. Constitution; and who is fervent about protecting not only our Second Amendment right, but the entire Bill of Rights. The 5 million members of the NRA made the difference on Election Day.
That battle was won, but the war rages on.Join us as we plan for the fight to advance Second Amendment rights, and to defeat the counterattacks that are sure to come.
