Official Cancellation Statement for Nashville 2020
With our 149th Annual Meeting scheduled for next month in Nashville, we realize many NRA members and meeting guests have questions about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the potential impact on our convention.
We have been closely monitoring updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Tennessee Department of Health. In fact, earlier today, a state of emergency was declared in Tennessee.
Therefore, we have reluctantly decided to cancel this year’s NRA Annual Meeting, planned for April 16 – 19 in Nashville. This applies to all events and scheduled programs, including the NRA-ILA Forum. We sincerely regret the need for this action, particularly for our many loyal members who join us for this annual celebration of the NRA and our constitutional freedoms. Details regarding a rescheduled NRA Members’ Meeting will be forthcoming.
Under the direction of NRA President Carolyn Meadows, the NRA Board of Directors is working with the Office of the Secretary in relation to board elections, meetings, and the like.
Please know that we did not reach this decision lightly. We were ultimately guided by our responsibility to help ensure the safety and well-being of our NRA members, guests, and surrounding community.
Please coordinate directly with airlines or others who have assisted with your travel arrangements. Most companies have announced plans to accommodate travelers dealing with event cancellations.

How do I get a refund for any special event tickets purchased?
To obtain a refund for the following events purchased through our ticketing partner, ETIX, please send an email request to [email protected] or call (800) 514-ETIX (3849). Indicate the name of the venue as the 2020 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, and include all of the events, listed below, that you purchased tickets for. Please provide your full name and the email address used to purchase the tickets. Refund requests will be accepted and honored from 3/13/2020 through 4/13/2020.
Please be patient as ETIX receives a large number of requests in this unique type of situation and allow up to 5 days for refund once your request has been acknowledged.
Should you decide you would like to forego a refund and convert your purchase to a contribution, we would be grateful and you do not need to take any action. If you have not requested a refund by 4/13/2020 we will make that conversion for you. Note: contributions related to tickets purchased for the National NRA Foundation BBQ & Auction and the 23rdAnnual National Firearms Law Seminar are related to The NRA Foundation and are tax deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes. NRA Foundation contribution acknowledgement will be made to the contact listed as the original ticket purchaser. Contributions for all other ticket purchases relate to the National Rifle Association and arenotdeductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes.

How do I get a refund for my hotel room?
If you have booked your hotel reservation through NRA’s Official Housing Company (Conference Direct) we will handle cancelling your hotel reservation and you will receive a cancellation confirmation soon. If you have booked your hotel reservation through any other source please coordinate your cancellation directly with them and any airlines or others who have assisted with your travel arrangements. Most companies have announced plans to accommodate travelers dealing with event cancellations.
Will the show be re-scheduled for later in 2020?
No, the 2020 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits will not be rescheduled. Please make plans to join us for the 2021 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Houston, TX, May 14-16, 2021. This will mark NRA’s 150thAnniversary and will be a Grand Celebration you won’t want to miss.
NOTE:The “NRA Members’ Meeting”is the Association’s official business meeting conducted each year during the Annual Meetings & Exhibits to receive the report of the election of Directors and to transact such other business as may properly come before the meeting, and where eligible NRA members have the opportunity to vote on Association business and/or for the 76thBoard Member. This will be rescheduled with details forthcoming.
