About John "Shrek" McPhee
John “Shrek” McPhee is the Founder, Firearms Expert and Master Coach for the Sheriff of Baghdad (S.O.B). He is a retired Army sergeant major, a former U.S. Army Ranger, Special Forces soldier and Special Mission Unit assaulter and sniper with 21 years of Special Operations experience. He spent 11 years of his military career conducting thousands of counter-insurgency operations, where acute tactical accuracy and precision were critical to mission success. McPhee’s expertise and intimate knowledge of firearms and operational applications is based on real-world lessons learned. He has tested weapons of all types for the Department of Defense and authored reviews for firearm developers to improve the quality of their products. He provides firearms training, close-quarter tactics training and security consulting services for the Department of Defense, law enforcement agencies, private security companies and the everyday citizen. He has trained countless U.S. Special Operations forces, U.S. law enforcement agencies, and thousands of Tier 1 Operators and Special Forces around the world. McPhee is one of a handful of operators with more than a decade of combat experience, having served in multiple theaters from Bosnia and South America to recent war efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
